Net Neutrality Canada - Neutrality.ca
Save the Net

Sorry for the long absence! I got very busy after moving last summer, but things have calmed down somewhat and I'm back. The site has been redesigned with a more readable colour scheme. I'm going to try very hard to add more content over the next few weeks.

Coming soon! I'm also working on getting a second server running which will be available for public/community access! It will provide free Unix shell accounts, web space, mail, a large Usenet news feed, and some other goodies. I just need to finish the signup form and write the terms of service document, so stay tuned.

I also have a Linux version of SiteBuilder which I will post when I get a minute.

I've added links to Neutrality.ca (for Canada) and Save The Internet (for America). Please check them out and sign the petition! It's important.

Also, this site is (physically) moving. It will be offline from the evening of June 16th until the evening of June 18th.

Some info on the SiteBuilder tool was added. I also noticed tonight that we have been getting mail (and occasional web hits) from a handful of IPv6-connected sites (notably netbsd.org). This is just plain cool.

Significant cleanup and simplification of the site. More to come.

As of tonight, most of the world, with the exception of a few better-behaved countries, is banned from our mail server. We've done this due to enormous volumes of spam and ISPs that seem unwilling to do anything about it. Affected senders will receive a message telling them to contact "postmaster" to request an exception to the ban; please be prepared to provide a copy of your (or your upstream ISP's) anti-spam policy, and the static IP address(es) of your outgoing mail servers. Exceptions will be considered individually.

The whole site has been rewritten using a template-driven static page generator I wrote called SiteBuilder. The wiki, blog, and all the other php-driven dynamic content is gone. This site isn't updated enough to justify the overhead of a huge content-management system and dynamically rendering every page for every hit.
